andy's frozen custard:
I have been a proud employee of Andy's Frozen Custard since May 2, 2015. This was/is my first job, and the one that most definitely broke me out of my comfort zone. At Andy's, I've learned what it means to rely on others and function as a member of a team. This company continues to push me to be a better individual, and has been reliable from the start. Andy's has taught me about the innerworkings of customer service, dependability, and friendship. (I met my best friend here!) I quite literally would not be who I am without the people I have worked with here. If you're in need of the best frozen custard around, stop by Andy's and see me!

carol jones writing center:
Working for the OTC Carol Jones Writing Center is one of the coolest things I have ever done. Through this job, I've had the opportunity to help people from varying cultures and backgrounds navigate the writing process. At the CJWC, I get to do two of my favorite things: help people and work with the English language. I am grateful for a job that allows me to do both of these things. I tutor because I love empowering people to be confident in their capability to write. I like to think of it as a collaboration. Some people just need to collaborate with others before they are able to finish ther assignment.
"We help people negotiate the process of solving problems through the act of writing."

drury writing center
In my last semester of undergrad, I was offered a position as a writing consultant at the Drury Writing Center. Because of my time tutoring at OTC, I was excited to do something similar for the community at Drury. Though I wasn't able to work here for longer than a semester, I met people who are now my friends and am grateful for their influence in my life.
At OTC I continually worked with non-traditional students, but tutoring at Drury, I was able to work with students my own age more often. This was a nice change of pace in conjunction with collaborating alongside the international student population on campus. I have loved getting to work with people at Drury and am humbled knowing I have learned so much from my peers and colleagues as a tutor. I am forever grateful for getting the opportunity to help people at more than just one institution.
